Cowgirl Bedroom

I was quite excited to find this Monterey Style Bedroom set some years ago.  It did not have bed rails.  No problem, huh?  what do you mean it has only one hook? So for the last 5 or so years I have been looking for the rails.  It was set up with a regular bed against it so the footboard was never used.  But look now, I finally found some one hook rails in Canada and voila!!  It is the cutest thing.  I also will include other pics of the bedroom set.  

San Francisco Bay Trip October 2012

Here are the pictures from our San Francisco trip on RumRum.  The first 2 are from our trip to watch the air show for Fleet Week and America's Cup.  One being our view of Fisherman's Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge.  The third is my honey as we were on our way to Alameda via the Estuary off SF Bay. 

January Blues

Here it is January 26th and I have not started my diet.  I am at an age that you don't want to be heavy for health reasons.  I love to cook and actually love my own cooking!! I also am trying to clean up from the fire we had in the back of our chimney 2 weeks ago.  The darling Fresno Firemen had to come to our house twice to finally find the source of the fire which turned out to be in the back of our chimney which is in our Living Room.  They had to cut a hole into the brick chimney which made quite a mess from the drilling.  At one point we had 3 trucks and 12 very handsome Firemen here.  They were so nice, helping me cover up all my stuff (I was just starting to put away xmas) and lined the floor with canvas.  They did an excellent job and deserve kudos.  I have pics but need to get them from my phone to my computer.  Sighhhh.  So many tech things, fortunately my middle son is a guru with the computer and helps me all the time.  But he lives quite a ways from us so we use Skype and the internet.  In any case it is drippy, misty and foggy here in the Central Valley and I was so hoping for sunny skies which really get me motivated for dieting and completing my home tasks.  I hope everyone has a great weekend. 

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL 2013

I know it has been quite a while since I posted but so much has happened in the past year.  We bought a new 26X MacGregor Motor/sail boat so we were on the lake every weekend all summer then took it up to San Francisco Bay in October and that was quite an experience.  We spent the Saturday of Fleet Week right off Fisherman's Wharf watching all the flyovers and America's Cup.  It was all so exciting.  I told my son Ethan that I never in my wildest dreams thought I would be sitting in a 26' boat that belonged to me on San Fran Bay with the Golden Gate on my left with a view of the whole bay.  We had a fun day.  We also fitted in one camping trip with the grandkids in September and both kids one 6 and one 3 were very good and had a great time.  I also got a tablet and a new phone and am trying to figure out how to get my pics from the tablet to the blog so hopefully I will have some pics of our fun later.
